Our Lady of Consolation

Starting in the 2nd century, Catholics venerated Mary as Our Lady of Consolation, one of Her earliest Titles of Honor. The Title of “Our Lady of Consolation“, or “Mary, Consoler of the Afflicted”, comes from the Latin Consolatrix Afflictorum.^[1] It is found in the Litany of Loreto.

V33 – 6.6.35  – “Now, while He was saying this, my Dear Jesus Showed me, with facts, how the Sovereign Queen Descended from Heaven with an Unspeakable Majesty, and a Tenderness Fully Maternal; and She went Around in the midst of creatures, throughout all nations, and She Marked Her dear children and those who were not to be touched by the scourges.  Whomever My Celestial Mama Touched, the scourges had no power to touch those creatures.  Sweet Jesus gave to His Mama the Right to Bring to Safety whomever She Pleased.  How moving it was to see the Celestial Empress Going Around to all places of the world, taking creatures in Her Maternal Hands, Holding them Close to Her Breast, Hiding them under Her Mantle, so that no evil could harm those whom Her Maternal Goodness Kept in Her Custody, Sheltered and Defended.  Oh! if all could see with how Much Love and Tenderness the Celestial Queen Performed this Office, they would cry of consolation and would love She Who So Much Loves us.” 

Our Lady of All Consolation

May you be blessed, O Mother of Christ Jesus, our Lord — Mother of Mercy, and Lady of all consolation, who console us in all our tribulations. May the holy name of your glory be blessed, praised, and exalted until the end of time. O, Door of paradise! O, Handmaid of the grace and servant of the Holy Ghost! O, Mistress of all wisdom and divine contemplation! O, best teacher of the poverty and humility of Christ! You are more noble than the patriarchs in faith and patience, more preceptive than the prophets in knowledge and insight, higher than the apostles in perfection and sanctity. You surpassed all martyrs in enduring suffering for Christ and excelled all the Saints in works of virtue. In purity you surpassed all other virgins, and the angels and archangels you excelled in the abundance of your grace. You are more radiant than the cherubim in splendor of wisdom and more illustrious than the seraphim in ardor and love! Truly, you transcend all other created beings in wisdom, sanctity, and grace, and none there is who rivals you.

“Don’t you know that Redemption is Preparation for the Kingdom of the Divine Will? And the Sacred Heart of Jesus is nothing other than the Immense Reign of His Will. It is not the Heart that Dominates; it is the Divine Will that Dominates His Divine Heart.”

V11 – 3.21.13 – “My daughter, the thought of My Passion never escaped My Dear Mama, and by dint of repeating It, she filled all of Herself with Me, completely.  The same happens to the soul:  by dint of repeating what I Suffered, she arrives at Filling herself with Me.”

V11 – 2.2.17 – “My daughter, the world has become unbalanced because it has lost the thought of My Passion.  In darkness, it has not found the Light of My Passion that would Illuminate it; and as it would make Known to it My Love and how much souls cost Me, it might turn to Loving the One Who has Truly Loved it; and the Light of My Passion, Guiding it, would put it on its guard against all dangers.  In weakness, it has not found the Strength of My Passion that would Sustain it.  In impatience, it has not found the Mirror of My Patience that would Infuse in it Calm and Resignation; and in the Face of My Patience, feeling ashamed, it would make it its Duty to Dominate itself.  In pains, it has not found the Comfort of the Pains of a God that, Sustaining its pains, would Infuse in it Love of Suffering.  In sin, it has not found My Sanctity that, placing itself in front of it, would Infuse in it hate of sin.  Ah! man has made an abuse of everything, because in everything he has moved away from the One Who could Help him.  This is why the world has lost balance.  It behaved like a child who no longer wanted to recognize his mother; or like a disciple who, denying his master, no longer wanted to listen to his teachings, or learn his lessons.  What shall happen to this child and to this disciple?  They shall be the sorrow of themselves, and the terror and sorrow of society.  Such has man become – terror and sorrow; but a sorrow without pity.  Ah! man is getting worse and worse, and I cry over him with Tears of Blood!”

June 13, 1917 – Our Lady of Fatima Appears to Lucy, Jacinta and Francisco for the Pope with Bishops to consecrate Russia to Her Immaculate Heart

June 13, 1929 – Our Lady Appears to Sr. Lucy repeating the request

June 13, 1931 – Our Lord Appears to Sr. Lucy warning the same fate of the King of France to the Pope if fail to complete the consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
